This personnel has jurisdiction area, includ­
ing the "20KA" market place where the precinct maintains a one-roan po­
lie. post. Violations investigated in the area consist of an average of
one auto theft per night, considerable juvenile activity and petty lar­
caY cases. Criums of violence are rare. The personnel work on 24 hour
shifts with 24 hours off duty and the seventh day off.
b. Station No. 2. This station is located in the hilly
Ambohitgatove district. It is commanded by a personable and alert 25
year old Commissioner who, according to the Team's guide, Commissioner
Philibert Robinson, has been %especiallyselected" and trained in France.
The four crowded offices of the station are located in an older type
colonial building. The area being primarily residential, the precinct
Chief advised that the bulk of their work consists of routine patrol,
investigating petty larceny and adjudicating heighborhood quarrels.
