Blackened Voodoo - Dixie
Brewing Co.
I’ll be honest, I’ve had this before,
but many many moons ago back

let’s face it, it’s a pretty cool label
and wanted to give it a go again.
Pours a clear, reddish brown with

left quick but settled to a thin cap
with decent lacing. Aromas are
very faint, some caramel and
roast. Tastes open surprisingly on
the sweeter side than expected

toasted grains, very slow creeping
of bitterness but there’s no hops
presence at all. Mild carbonation
makes for easy drinking. Not bad.
Ace Hard Pumpkin Cider
- California Cider Co.
CHEERS!
A Beverage and Cigar Experience by Travis Storck
I was holding out for an actual
pumpkin ale I really wanted to
try, but couldn’t get my hands
on, so went with this for a bit

recommendation of one of the
guys at my favorite package
store. Pours a crystal clear,
pale, honey gold. Being a cider,
I wouldn’t expect any head so
there was none, though it is quite

is very faint. Flavors starts with
a wash of juicy sweetness that’s
followed by waves of allspice and
cinnamon. Pumpkin creeps up

spices take over. Overall, I quite
enjoyed this as a great seasonal
alternative.
Pinot Noir - Cupcake
Vineyards
Dark ruby in color, thin viscosity.
Aromas are faint with some spice
and berry. As the label would
imply, I am getting some cherry
and currants, and the spice, but
very faint, as well as a hint of
smoke or char. Juicy, though a bit
on the thinner side than I’d like,
little alcohol burn in the back.
Finishes dry. Not a bad pinot
overall to be honest for the $10
range, but I have had better (and
worse...).
Siglo Limited Reserve IV
- Altadis
The cigar’s appearance is
smooth, nice construction, with
minimal veining in the wrapper.
The pre-light draw was good and
not too restrictive. Was easily lit
and began a consistent, even
burn. Flavors started out quite

slightly earthy, roasted nuts,
almost creamy, some faint pepper
spice with a good amount of
smoke in the draw. By the second
third the cigar began to lose the
creaminess and roast, bringing a
touch of bitterness and a peppery
bite was creeping in. The last third
was much less remarkable as the
bitterness took over. Some slight
burn issues after the halfway
point. It began as a great smoke
