applications for Class XXIII,<br />

which will begin in September.<br />

What began in 1990 as an<br />

<br />

in community volunteerism by<br />

business professionals has<br />

evolved into one of Southwest<br />

Oklahoma’s premiere leadership<br />

programs.<br />

Twenty-two years ago, a<br />

group of business men and<br />

women joined forces to organize<br />

<br />

Lawton-Fort Sill Class, and the<br />

program has since graduated<br />

close to 400 people. The<br />

Southwest Genealogical Society’s “Genealogy Minute”<br />

the Genealogy<br />

leadership positions throughout<br />

the community, including both<br />

professional and political, as well<br />

as serving on many charitable<br />

boards and committees. Their<br />

service has resulted in many<br />

of the positive changes to the<br />

Lawton community during the<br />

last 20 years.<br />

The Program, which<br />

requires a 9-month commitment<br />

of one day per month, exposes<br />

students to many aspects of<br />

not only Lawton, but county<br />

and state governments, as<br />

well. Team exercises help bond<br />

and much more. The tuition is<br />

$395 and covers all meals and<br />

program materials.<br />
