Meet the Nominees
been on a quest (of sorts)
Southwest Oklahoma. The
journey has been, for the
most part, an enjoyable
one. For most of my
adventure, I travelled the
streets of Lawton, but I
also journeyed to Walters,
Cache, and Frederick,
Oklahoma – even though
the Frederick trip was a
wild goose chase.
So who makes the best
pizza? I wish it were that
simple. Just like most
competitions, this one had
rules, and exclusions. It really is a shame, too. My
favorite pizza comes from Pizza Hut, but because of the
that I was going to exclude all national franchises. I
have since revised this rule to say all franchises with
restaurants outside of Oklahoma. I found that even
though there are several local pizza joints, when you
start excluding franchises, you really cut down your
list. The following is a list of all of the pizza places that
Franchise (OF), National Franchise (NF) – note that all
pizza places, an Oklahoma franchise, Pizza Time. Pizza
Time has been one of my go-to pizza joints for some
time now. A friend and I used to order their calzones
one of the best. Just the right amount of sauce on just
the right amount of crust makes this pizza…well, just
right.
