« High culture, not-so-high prices »<br />

water activities. The Pend Oreille<br />
Regatta, the Wooden Boat Festival<br />
in Sandpoint, and the Ironman and<br />
Leadman Triathlons are just a few<br />

» There are 16 museums in northern<br />
<strong>Idaho</strong> and the entire town of Wallace<br />
is on the National Register of Historic<br />
Places. The Museum of North <strong>Idaho</strong><br />
near the beach in Coeur d’Alene is a<br />
good place to visit. You can explore the<br />
rich mining history of the Silver Valley<br />
at the Wallace District Mining Museum<br />
and the Shoshone County Mining &<br />
Smelting Museum in Kellogg. Take a<br />
tour of one of two actual mines in the<br />

Memorial. The Northern Pacific Depot<br />
Railroad Museum in Wallace transports<br />
