[This diagram shows <strong>the</strong> geometry <strong>of</strong> an optimal temple floor as described in<br />

section I. Note <strong>the</strong> nearly cubical shrine in <strong>the</strong> east, and <strong>the</strong> three descending<br />

triangles that define <strong>the</strong> main ground <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> temple. The tomb footprint<br />

shown reflects a particular design that was implemented at Circle <strong>of</strong> Stars<br />

Sanctuary circa 2000 e.v. The people are shown sitting on <strong>the</strong> ground, and<br />

<strong>the</strong>y should be provided with cushions if such is <strong>the</strong> case. But chairs or<br />

benches may be arranged for <strong>the</strong>ir seating as well. Often a combination is<br />

effective, with chairs behind <strong>the</strong> floor seating. Ano<strong>the</strong>r possibility is to have<br />

westward-facing chairs on ei<strong>the</strong>r side <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> steps, for <strong>the</strong> Children to occupy<br />

during <strong>the</strong> first nine Collects.]<br />

8 The three triangles described are <strong>the</strong> forms which delimit <strong>the</strong> floor space traversed by <strong>the</strong> <strong>of</strong>ficers, as<br />

distinguished from <strong>the</strong> surrounding area in which <strong>the</strong> people are seated. The people are thus turned from facing<br />

<strong>the</strong> center line <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> temple 30° toward <strong>the</strong> east. (See diagram.)<br />
