Danièle Chauvel is a participating professor of Knowledge Management and Innovation. She is a
member of the SKEMA Research Centre in Knowledge, Technology and Organization.
Education:
She holds a Master of Sciences in Social Sciences Research Methodologies from Open University, UK
and a M.A. in foreign languages. She took a “American language program’ at Columbia University,
NY, USA.
Academic experience:
Danièle Chauvel has 12 years of experience in academic research in Knowledge Management. She
has developed theoretical and applied research in KM and built up several international research
partnerships with American and Asian institutions. She designed and taught several clusters on
Knowledge Management for MBA curricula. She has regularly lectured on the MBA, Master and
Engineer programmes in several French Business schools and Engineer schools.
Professional experience:
Danièle Chauvel works also as a consultant in innovation and change management with a former
experience with a Finnish group. She previously had managerial responsibilities in pedagogical
engineering and senior executive education in an international environment.
Maintenance of Qualification:
Danièle Chauvel’s research is dedicated to the evolution of Management principles, focusing on the
role of Knowledge Management and its main trends and current development. She works as a
consultant in the field of change management for the public sector and she acts as an expert in
Knowledge Management in French think tanks.

A Euro 15,000 grant in partnership with Loughborough University (UK) for the research
project, “Knowledge Management: Integrating the Strategic and the Tactical.” The focus was
on project management and the dynamics of knowledge transfer. January 2001 – grant
