BONUS QUESTION
30. During the Hung Ordnance check following the OTR, you notice an aircraft has one Mk 76
remaining on the center aft station of one of his PMBR’s. The pilot in command of that aircraft
confirms he tried to release on every pass and thinks it’s a hung bomb because he didn’t get a
spot on his last attempt to release on that rack. The BOMB QTY on the STORES page indicates
0’s on both wing stations.
a) Is the bomb hung or is it unexpended?
b) What is the normal release sequence of a PMBR?
ANSWER: Figure it out on your own!
Hint: What would happen if during arming, the ordnanceman placed the station selector
accidently from SAFE to “2” vice SAFE to “1”?
