The “Low” Pattern: 10-Degree<br />

The 10-degree pattern simulates high drag or forward firing ordnance deliveries. Because of the<br />

higher pattern airspeed, somewhat more g and AOB will be maintained in the pattern.<br />

Pattern Altitude/Airspeed: 2,500’/350 KIAS<br />

Abeam: 1.8 – 2.0<br />

Turn Point: 2.3<br />

Approaching: 2.7 – 2.8<br />

Attack Cone Distance (ACD): 2.2<br />

Approaching power setting: MRT (Just prior to roll-in)<br />

Initial Sight Picture and TPA: 2 o and 4 o respectively<br />

Release rpm: MRT<br />

MIL setting: 117 mils Bombs / 47 Strafe / 26 RKTS<br />

Release Altitude/Airspeed: 1,000’/<strong>45</strong>0KTAS (Bombs)<br />

1,300 – 1,000 (Strafe)<br />

Aim Off Distance: 2199 ft. / Aim Off Angle: 6 degrees<br />

Weather requirements: 4,000/5<br />
