Forms may be mailed, faxed, emailed, or dropped off in person at the school board office. If you wish to send them to school to have them faxed in that will be fine too! Thanks. Grade Seven Orientation at Ocean View Our Grade Seven Orientation Evening at Ocean View will be held on May 17 th 6:30 to 8:00 pm. We encourage parents to accompany their children.
New Principal Welcome to Mrs. Tawnie Gaudreau who will be our new school principal beginning in the 2011-2012 school year. I will be retiring at the end of this school year and while I’m sad to leave all my new friends and acquaintance here at KCCS, I’m also looking forward to a change after 31 years as a teacher and principal in Powell River. Mrs. Gaudreau is currently the principal at James Thomson Elementary School in Wildwood and I know that she is excited to be moving to KCCS . We can look forward to her youth and energy to help KCCS to continue to be a great place to go to school! I have enjoyed the past five years at KCCS. It’s been a great place to spend my final years as an educator. When I first arrived, I was struck by the friendliness of the kids and the community generally. I still feel that friendliness among all the parents and children with whom I work. In fact, when talking with new or prospective parents about the school environment, it is that welcoming feeling that is still most prominent in my mind. Thanks to all of you for making KCCS the great place that it is! Cross Country Congratulations to our cross country team who made a fantastic effort at the District Cross Country Race at Sunset Park in Wildwood yesterday. All members put in a great effort and made us proud of our school!
