The cones for the cable connection or switchgear extension<br />

are made of reinforced cycloalyphatic exposy<br />

resin. An electrode for capacitive coupling is embedded<br />

in the epoxy resin, arranged<br />

in parallel to the live part of the<br />

bushing. By using high-quality<br />

exposy resins and latest castiron<br />

technology, a maximum<br />

possible safety is guaranteed regarding<br />

the insulation strength of<br />

the dielectric and the protection<br />

against accidental contacts.

SF6 as insulating and<br />

quenching medium<br />

The quenching arc takes place in<br />

separate, hermetically sealed arcing<br />

chambers. That means the quenching<br />

medium and the insulating<br />

medium are arranged in separate<br />

sections, independent from each<br />

other. The full switching capacity is<br />

always guaranteed.
