Gearbox Input Shaft Revolution Sensor (D) The variable reluctance sensor (D), is installed on the rear left hand side of the gearbox housing. Since it is very near to the exhaust system parts, it is fitted with a heat-resistant bulkhead (5). • In order to remove the sensor, unscrew the nuts (6) fastening the heat-resistant bulkhead (5) to the lateral holding brackets of the gearbox housing. • Unscrew the fastening nut (7) and extract the sensor (D) from its housing on the gearbox.
• Detach the sensor's connection (E) from the holding frame (8), on the right hand side of the gearbox. For connection to the system, see Table P - ELECTRICAL SYSTEM.
