The forks of the 1 st - 2 nd and 3 rd - 4 th speeds, which must move on the rod, have inner bushings
made of an anti-friction material. When disassembling, always check the rod clearance on the fork
bushings. Replace the fork if this is excessive.
The surfaces of the forks in contact with the synchroniser sliding sleeve have a molybdenum
covering which increases their surface hardness. Check that these surfaces do not show signs of
excessive wear or scoring; replace the fork if this is the case.
Lubrication
A concentric gear volumetric pump (53) is used to lubricate the gearbox's internal elements,
operated by the reverse gear auxiliary gearing (49).
NOTES
The pump is supplied as a spare part as a single assembly and must not be dismantled.
