Probate<br />

The formal certificate given by a court that certifies that a will has been proven, validated, <strong>and</strong> registered <strong>and</strong> that,<br />

from that point on, gives the executor the legal authority to execute the will. A “probate court” is a name given to the<br />

court that has this power to ratify wills.<br />

Properly admitted patient<br />

A patient who has been admitted into a medical treatment facility in any status other than dead on arrival (DOA) or<br />

carded for record only (CRO).<br />

A sale <strong>of</strong> property to the general public to the highest bidder.<br />

Ready Reserve<br />

The Selected Reserve, Individual Ready Reserve, <strong>and</strong> Inactive National Guard liable for active duty as prescribed by<br />

Reserve Component category<br />

The category that identifies an individual’s status in a Reserve Component. The three Reserve Component categories<br />

are Ready Reserve, St<strong>and</strong>by Reserve, <strong>and</strong> Retired Reserve. Each reservist is identified by a specific Reserve Component<br />

Reserve Components<br />

Reserve Components <strong>of</strong> the Armed Forces <strong>of</strong> the United States are—<br />

a. the <strong>Army</strong> National Guard <strong>of</strong> the United States;<br />

c. the Naval Reserve;<br />

d. the Marine Corps Reserve;<br />

e. the Air National Guard <strong>of</strong> the United States;<br />

f. the Air Force Reserve; <strong>and</strong><br />

Retired Reserve<br />

All Reserve members who receive retirement pay on the basis <strong>of</strong> their active duty <strong>and</strong>/or Reserve service; those<br />

members who are otherwise eligible for retirement pay but have not reached age 60 <strong>and</strong> who have not elected<br />
