12.2.2. On Line Diagnostic Main Features<br />

a) It shall run on a separate and dedicate processor without interference with real time<br />

simulator programs.<br />

b) It shall be capable of simulator functions general survey:<br />

• All interface boards and controllers,<br />

• Each power supplies (including: computer, visual, batteries...),<br />

• Each circuit breakers,<br />

• Motion and control loading system (voltages, pressures, temperatures, warning,<br />

abort conditions, safety features,…),<br />

• Air conditioning and ventilation airflow (air conditioning unit, A/C computer rack,<br />

blowers and exhaust system),<br />

• Fire detection identifying different zone,<br />

• Temperature for Electronic cabinets, Air conditioning air outlets ,<br />

• Real time and main programs failures.<br />

c) Operator dialogue shall be provided through the console by means of menu.<br />

d) Every malfunction shall be analysed, memorised, and displayed.<br />

e) Network failures shall be monitored.<br />

f) Error reporting format shall describe:<br />

• Time for beginning and end of failure<br />

• Device (int. board, circuit breaker, PSU, sensor.)<br />

- location<br />

- channel<br />

- type of error<br />

g) Current Failures shall be easily processed,<br />

• Only current failures shall be displayed (printable) after a Reset.<br />

• Total current failure shall be displayed.<br />

• All failures shall be memorised (archived) in order to be displayed/printed at any<br />

time.<br />

• Convenient facilities shall be provided for archive research (date, location, failure<br />

type....)<br />

• Access at the latest failures shall easy and quick.<br />

h) Masking<br />

• Unwanted or known errors should be maskable by operator.<br />

• In case of masked item, a warning shall inform operator indicating the masked<br />

item.<br />

• A current mask list shall be saved and restore.<br />
