Important Information
Language Proficiency Test:
1. This is mandatory for all students, without which a student will not be enrolled in HUN100
course.
2. This test will be conducted individually.
3. Students must carry their class XII mark-sheet for the test
Form A: The student must complete the hard copy of Form A after downloading it from the website.
The students are advised to take a photocopy of the completed form. The original form, duly signed
by the student and the parents, is to be submitted at the time of the Registration in the Seminar Hall.
The copy will be useful for online completion of the form A. Please note that the form ‘A’ MUST be
filled on the IITD internal website. The Login id and the password required for accessing the website
will be printed on the Registration Sheet. The Registration Sheet listing the courses to be done in the
first semester, will be provided to the individual student in the respective hostels on July 18, 2012.
The student should make sure that he/ she collects the registration sheet on that day. If a student
has a problem getting the registration sheet, he/she must contact the Registration Desk in the
Seminar Hall during the registration time allotted to his/ her group.
Volunteers will help the students to fill Form A online during the time slots provided in the Computer
Services Centre. Minimal facilities for filling this form are also available in the hostel. Please contact
volunteers for the same.
Conducted tour of stalls on “Life at IIT Delhi”: Several exhibits will be on display in Nalanda
Lawns showing the life at IIT Delhi in its various facets ranging from academic, co-curricular, extracurricular
matters to those related to personal development and social activities. We welcome all
freshers to this abode where they can dwell in a virtual IIT Delhi world and come to know the institute
in a better manner.
For the tour of stalls, the students will be divided into subgroups at the venue. Each subgroup will be
taken around the stalls by the student mentors. Transport will be available in front of Kailash hostel
half an hour before the reporting time, for girl students to reach the Nalanda Lawns.
Q&A Sessions: In this session, the new students can ask questions related to the life in IITD,
including academics. The student mentors and faculty will provide answers to the queries.
Evening Games: These fun-filled group activities will provide an enjoyable interactive space for
you all to adjust and make yourselves at home on campus while facilitating effective interaction with
your new batch-mates.
Faculty members will be overseeing this activity. Transport will be available for the girl students in
front of Kailash Hostel at 19:45 to reach Nalanda Lawns.
