Important Information<br />

Language Proficiency Test:<br />

1. This is mandatory for all students, without which a student will not be enrolled in HUN100<br />

course.<br />

2. This test will be conducted individually.<br />

3. Students must carry their class XII mark-sheet for the test<br />

Form A: The student must complete the hard copy of Form A after downloading it from the website.<br />

The students are advised to take a photocopy of the completed form. The original form, duly signed<br />

by the student and the parents, is to be submitted at the time of the Registration in the Seminar Hall.<br />

The copy will be useful for online completion of the form A. Please note that the form ‘A’ MUST be<br />

filled on the IITD internal website. The Login id and the password required for accessing the website<br />

will be printed on the Registration Sheet. The Registration Sheet listing the courses to be done in the<br />

first semester, will be provided to the individual student in the respective hostels on <strong>July</strong> 18, 2012.<br />

The student should make sure that he/ she collects the registration sheet on that day. If a student<br />

has a problem getting the registration sheet, he/she must contact the Registration Desk in the<br />

Seminar Hall during the registration time allotted to his/ her group.<br />

Volunteers will help the students to fill Form A online during the time slots provided in the Computer<br />

Services Centre. Minimal facilities for filling this form are also available in the hostel. Please contact<br />

volunteers for the same.<br />

Conducted tour of stalls on “Life at IIT Delhi”: Several exhibits will be on display in Nalanda<br />

Lawns showing the life at IIT Delhi in its various facets ranging from academic, co-curricular, extracurricular<br />

matters to those related to personal development and social activities. We welcome all<br />

freshers to this abode where they can dwell in a virtual IIT Delhi world and come to know the institute<br />

in a better manner.<br />

For the tour of stalls, the students will be divided into subgroups at the venue. Each subgroup will be<br />

taken around the stalls by the student mentors. Transport will be available in front of Kailash hostel<br />

half an hour before the reporting time, for girl students to reach the Nalanda Lawns.<br />

Q&A Sessions: In this session, the new students can ask questions related to the life in IITD,<br />

including academics. The student mentors and faculty will provide answers to the queries.<br />

Evening Games: These fun-filled group activities will provide an enjoyable interactive space for<br />

you all to adjust and make yourselves at home on campus while facilitating effective interaction with<br />

your new batch-mates.<br />

Faculty members will be overseeing this activity. Transport will be available for the girl students in<br />

front of Kailash Hostel at <strong>19</strong>:45 to reach Nalanda Lawns.
