About Our Provider
Only health care professionals specially trained in BOTOX® should
administer the injections.At Dartmouth-Hitchcock, you should
feel reassured that injections are given in a clean and safe clinical
environment by a Board Certified physician.
Dr. Robert Willer is Board Certified in Dermatology
and works out of the Dartmouth-Hitchcock
Manchester location. Dr.Willer attended medical school
at the University of Arizona,Tuscon, and completed a
residency in Family Practice from Good Samaritan
Medical Center in Phoenix,Arizona, as well as a
residency in Dermatology from Dartmouth-Hitchcock
Medical Center in Lebanon. He has been with the
Dartmouth-Hitchcock staff since 1998 and is specially
trained to administer BOTOX® cosmetic treatments.

What is BOTOX®?
BOTOX® is a natural, purified protein,
derived from the bacterium Clostridium
Botulinum. In very low doses, injections
of BOTOX® in overactive muscles will
block transmission
of nerve impulses
to the muscles
that cause lines to
form.

BOTOX®, which has been safely used to treat a variety of
conditions for more than 20 years, is now FDA approved
as a temporary cosmetic treatment of frown lines and
wrinkles in people aged 18 to 65.

What Can I Expect from
a BOTOX® Treatment?
Your provider will determine exactly
where to administer several tiny
injections to achieve the best results.
The entire treatment takes approximately
10 minutes. No anesthesia is
required and discomfort is minimal and
brief--patients compare the sensation
to a bug bite. Most people return to
work or normal activity immediately.
The BOTOX® will take effect in 3 to 10
days. Gradually, over 3 to 4 months, the
BOTOX® effect will fade, and the muscle
action will return.When the frown
lines reappear, a
simple repeat
treatment is all
that is necessary
to maintain the
desired result.
