Version 4.0
Date: 01.2010
1 Area of application
The logistics agreement specifies relationships of MAN Nutzfahrzeuge Group with its suppliers. It supplements
the logistics standard, which is not specific to supplier, receiving plant and item number, and specifies the
rules of material supply for a volume of delivery to be defined, and for receiving plants of MAN Nutzfahrzeuge
Group that are to be defined (cf. section 3).
Both the present logistics agreement and the logistics standard in the version current at the signing of the contract
form the contractual basis of the agreement between the supplier and MAN Nutzfahrzeuge Group. The
logistics for the following delivery scope are defined in this logistics agreement:
Alternative 1
Designation
component /
part- range:
For the valid framework agreement including future
additions (see cover sheet)
all item numbers *)
parts families, i.e.
3 Delivery standards
The delivery will be consigned to the MAN receiving plants stated below according to the following delivery
standards. Note that the "Spare parts" section lists all spare parts locations of MAN Nutzfahrzeuge Group. The
assignment of spare parts locations for deliveries is given in the appendix, section 11.1.1.
This preconfiguration of the logistics chain specifies in which subsections further information is provided
5.1.2 Call-offs in two-stage JIS/JIT delivery
Note: Only complete this section if alternative 2 was chosen in section 3.3, Material requirements planning,
deviating from standard procedure. The supplier receives the binding delivery call-off from MAN Nutzfahrzeuge
Group and not from the service provider.
Since the delivery call-off from MAN Nutzfahrzeuge Group to the supplier in the two-stage JIS/JIT delivery
procedure contains the binding demand data plus the non-binding demand forecast, section 4.1.1 already
states the transmission time and format of delivery call-off.
The following time period for delivery call-off will be agreed as binding for the standard two-stage JIS/JIT delivery
procedure, and will authorize delivery to the service provider according to the delivery dates transmitted
in the call-off:
The following time period for delivery call-off will be agreed as binding for standard stock procurement, and will
Version 4.0
Date: 01.2010
This definition provides a basis for building up initial stock. MAN Nutzfahrzeuge Group reserves the right to
adapt the specified delivery frequency, among other things depending on annual demand. In such an event
MAN Nutzfahrzeuge Group will inform the supplier of the changed figures.
Refer to section 6.3 of the logistics standard for the delivery terms of the individual standard delivery concepts.
Observe the following table if delivery terms are agreed that deviate from these standards in exceptional and
justified cases.
The following delivery term applies differing from the standard (Incoterms
2000):
Reason:
6.4 Customs handling of goods delivered from non-EU countries
MAN Nutzfahrzeuge Group regulates customs handling with the supplier as follows:
Alternative 1 The supplier or a commissioned service provider undertakes customs clearance.
Explanation: The supplier will undertake customs clearance if they are based inside the EU.
Alternative 2 MAN undertakes customs clearance.
Explanation: If delivery is two-stage JIS/JIT, MAN clears the goods before they are stored by the service
provider. If delivery is to JIS/JIT contract warehouse standard, MAN will
clear the goods of the individual delivery call-offs in the plant. In the latter case the transshipment
warehouse must be managed as a customs warehouse. Refer to the logistics
standard, section 6.4 for details. .
