Test. D.—Mr Aucuiuald Lynde.say, .sometime Parson <strong>of</strong><br />

Kingussie. Died 2 Jan. 1581. A Supfdementary Inven-<br />

tory (ad omissa) given up by Michael Furde in Elgin.<br />

Appd. Executor 26 B'eb. 1583-4 at Edinburgh, <strong>the</strong> first<br />

having been confirmed at Elgin 15 Aug. 1583. The<br />

estate, worth £221 63. 8d., <strong>of</strong> which £9G was owing by<br />

Cautioners for George Earl <strong>of</strong> Huntly for <strong>the</strong> duty <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

Parsonage <strong>of</strong> Kingussie. Confirmed at Edinburgh 14<br />

March 1583-4.<br />

Test. T.—Dame Isobel Lyndesay, sometime spouse to John<br />

Innes, Lucharis, in parish <strong>of</strong> Urquhart and Sheritfdom <strong>of</strong><br />

Muoray. Died 31 JMarch 1581. Inventory given up by<br />

her husband, executor named in her will, dated at Edin-<br />

burgh 1 March 1580, Estate, £375 (is. 8d. Jeane Isobel<br />

Lyndesay, her servant, 20 merks and a gown. Will<br />

signed by herself in <strong>the</strong> Inner Chamber <strong>of</strong> hous, <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

tenement <strong>of</strong> John Richesone, Saddler in Nudreis Wynd<br />

<strong>of</strong> Edinburgh, at 11 a.m., before several witnesses and her<br />

notaries. Confd. at Edinb. 20 Nov. 1590.<br />

Test. D.—William Lyndesay, Provost <strong>of</strong> Inncrpeffray. Died<br />

in <strong>the</strong> west hill <strong>of</strong> Inncrpeffray, 15 March 1583. Inven-<br />

tory given up by Patrick Lyndesay, burgess <strong>of</strong> Dundee,<br />

his bro<strong>the</strong>r german, on behalf <strong>of</strong> Margaret Lyndesay, law-<br />

ful daughter to said late William. Appointed executrix<br />

by decree at Edinburgh, 5 Feb. 1584. James, Commenda-<br />

tor <strong>of</strong> Inchatfray, owed £16; and a large number <strong>of</strong><br />

persons, many <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>m Drummonds, owed annual rents or<br />

charges, amounting to £431 13s. 8d. He owed 5 servants'<br />

fees. Balance <strong>of</strong> Estate, £911 13s. 8d. Confd. at Edinb.<br />

6 Feb. 1584.
