Janet Lyndesay, spouse <strong>of</strong> Thomas Monypeuny <strong>of</strong> Dunkeld,<br />

Died intestate March I0G8. Inventory given up by <strong>the</strong>ir<br />

daughters, Agnes and IsobeU. Confirmed at Edinburgh,<br />

5 May 1569.<br />

Test. D. — William Lyndesay, son to James Lyndesay <strong>of</strong><br />

Overscheilles in parish <strong>of</strong> Kilbride and sheriffdom <strong>of</strong><br />

Lanark.* Died July 15')7. Inventory given up by said<br />

James Lyndesay, executor by decree <strong>of</strong> (Jommissary <strong>of</strong><br />

Hamilton. Dated at Glasgow, 29 Aug. said year. Pos-<br />

sessed a horse worth £10. Wares in hands <strong>of</strong> a factor in<br />

Flanders, estimated at £40. The total property £284.<br />

No division. Confirmed 6 March 1597-8.<br />

Note.—His fa<strong>the</strong>r, thus solo heir, and <strong>the</strong> son a bachelor and<br />

iiiteatjite.<br />

Test, T. <strong>of</strong> Alexander Lyndesay <strong>of</strong> Bonytoun, who died 12<br />

June 1569, Inventory given up by Ka<strong>the</strong>rine Mure, his<br />

relict, Margaret and Effio Lyndesay, his dochters, with<br />

advice, &c. Nominated executrixes in <strong>the</strong> will. Possessed<br />

farm produce and debts, £631, 17s., and among those<br />

owing him money were Earl <strong>of</strong> Crawford, £150; William<br />

Lyndesay in Dundee, as cautioner for David Lyndesay <strong>of</strong><br />

Leckowie, bear worth £3. He owed for servants' fees<br />

and expenses <strong>of</strong> house-home <strong>of</strong> Skeckness £22.<br />

Test, made 12 March 1568, and signed at Dundee. Describes<br />

his property as— <strong>the</strong> shadow half land <strong>of</strong> Bonyton <strong>of</strong><br />

Inverarity, and teind.^ lying in Barony <strong>of</strong> Inverarity and<br />

Sheriffdom <strong>of</strong> Forfar. Confirmed at Edinburgh.<br />

Test. D.—William Lyndesay, Burgess in Perth. Died<br />

intestate October 1575. Inventory given up by Margaret<br />

Eviot, his relict, and <strong>the</strong>ir lawful bairns David, Patrick,<br />

and IssobeU. Exors. decreed 12 Jan. said year (1575-6).<br />

John Lyndesay <strong>of</strong> Evelich owed hira a year's interest from<br />
