Line 1: “Data Written” is much lower in this instance as the backup schedule<br />

employed incremental backups during the week; there<strong>for</strong>e much less data was sent<br />

to the appliance, approximately 10 TB.<br />

Line 2: “Data Stored” remains the same, however, as the Data Domain appliance<br />

identifies <strong>and</strong> saves only the unique data sent to the appliance. This reduces the<br />

overall data reduction as less redundant data is sent to the appliance.<br />

Line 3: "% Reduction" shows the storage saving as a percentage over the five-week<br />
