The following graphs further illustrate the advantage of offloading the backup from<br />
the production node to the proxy node. They illustrate the CLARiiON metaLUN<br />
response times. The first graph below shows the response time from the metaLUNs<br />
assigned to the metaLUNs under a Swingbench load. These metaLUNs constitute<br />
the ASM DATA+ data group.<br />
The following graph shows the same metaLUNs response time. Similar to the<br />
previous example, the Swingbench load is running against the cluster. In addition, an<br />
RMAN backup initiated <strong>by</strong> NetWorker is also running against <strong>Oracle</strong> RAC Node 1.<br />
The backup is running against the same LUNs that are serving the Swingbench load.<br />
The response time is higher <strong>for</strong> the duration of the backup.<br />
