understood to date back to the 16th century and possibly earlier, L-shaped<br />

presenting brick Flemish bond lower elevations, tile hung upper elevations, part<br />

jettied first floor, set with a mixture of timber and metal ”Crittal” framed leaded light<br />

windows, feature bow windows with interesting supporting grotesques, set beneath<br />

a pitched, hipped and half hipped tiled roof with partial catslide and tall chimneys.<br />

Features indicative of a classic timber frame building include a wealth of exposed<br />

timbers, inglenook fireplaces, feature vaulted ceiling in the reception hall with mullion<br />

window, some exposed floorboards over the first floor, oak staircase with newel<br />

post and some exposed studwork.<br />
