Kalends of October, he was consecrated as bishop of Glasgow<br />

by the same archbishop, by mandate of the lord pope Innocent<br />

brother of the same k<strong>in</strong>g of <strong>Scotland</strong>, and Roger de Lacy,<br />

constable of Chester ; and William de Vescy , and Robert de Ross,<br />

sons-<strong>in</strong>-law of the same k<strong>in</strong>g of <strong>Scotland</strong>, and Robert Fitz<br />

Roger, sheriff of Northumberland, to William k<strong>in</strong>g of Scots<br />

with royal letters patent of safe-conduct to br<strong>in</strong>g the k<strong>in</strong>g of<br />

Scots to the k<strong>in</strong>g of England ; and fixed for him a day for<br />

com<strong>in</strong>g to him at L<strong>in</strong>coln, 5 on the morrow 6 of St. Edmund's<br />
