Roland, son of Utred Fergus' son, immediately<br />

after the death of Gilbert, his father's brother, collected to<br />

his aid a numerous host of horse and foot, and <strong>in</strong>vaded the<br />

land of Gilbert aforesaid and slew all who would ; oppose<br />

him, and reduced all that land to himself. Moreover he<br />
