Also David, k<strong>in</strong>g of <strong>Scotland</strong>, restored to k<strong>in</strong>g Stephen of<br />

England four of his castles aforesaid which he had occupied ;<br />

Henry, son of the k<strong>in</strong>g of<br />

<strong>Scotland</strong>, was at Stephen k<strong>in</strong>g of England's court, which he<br />

held with festivity at London ; he was received with the<br />

greatest honour, and sat at table at the k<strong>in</strong>g's right hand.<br />

W<strong>here</strong>fore both William, archbishop of Canterbury, withdrew<br />

from court and certa<strong>in</strong> nobles of ;<br />

England, displeased<br />

with the k<strong>in</strong>g, summoned Henry <strong>in</strong> 4<br />

[the k<strong>in</strong>g's] own presence.<br />

And David, k<strong>in</strong>g of <strong>Scotland</strong>, was very much displeased<br />

with <strong>this</strong> affair, and when he got back his son refused to send<br />

him aga<strong>in</strong> to the k<strong>in</strong>g's court, although he was often sent for.<br />
