For the Western market, boldly pa<strong>in</strong>ted with a central double-gourd shaped vase<br />
depict<strong>in</strong>g a european gentleman <strong>in</strong> the central panel flanked by european mask<br />
handles, issu<strong>in</strong>g full blown flowers and foliage, conta<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g peony and a tulip,<br />
all on an irregular three-legged stand, the border set with four leaf-shaped panels<br />
conta<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g peony <strong>in</strong>terspersed by groups of five song birds reserved on a black<br />
ground, picked out <strong>in</strong> iron-red and highlighted <strong>in</strong> gild<strong>in</strong>g, the underside<br />
with floral sprigs.<br />
