the contemporary mounts probably Dutch, of lotus petal panelled form,
each decorated with chrysanthemum and hibiscus plants, the cover, spout and
handle set with finely chased mounts, the cover surmounted by a peacock finial.

the base with a scholarly eight-character poem:
Yin hua yong yue, pin zhu ping cha: ‘Reciting flower poems and singing about
the moon, playing the flute while appraising the tea’.
