Astero/ibertia anisopterae (Sydow) Hansf. and A.<br />

Anisoptera thursifera and F/abelliferia panicu/ata<br />

from Philippines and Sierra Leone, respectively. A.<br />

vateriae differs from A. anisopterae in not forming<br />

polygonal meshes of hyphae, having smaller<br />

thyriothecia and in causing pathogenic effect on the<br />

host. It differs from A. fabelliferae in having<br />

distinctly larger ascospores (Hansford, 1947, 1949).<br />

Ascospores are smaller than A. hydnocarpi Hosag.<br />

& Abraham (Hosagoudar & Abraham, 1997).<br />
