Canada Mining Matters<br />
Over the past decade, <strong>PDAC</strong> Mining Matters<br />
has helped establish mineral resources<br />
education as an important industry objective<br />
for youth. The organization brings Earth<br />
science to life by using age-appropriate <strong>and</strong><br />
scientifically accurate classroom resources<br />
that speak about the importance of mining to<br />
Canadian society. Our signature school<br />
programs meet provincial curriculum<br />
expectations for the grades in which they are<br />
offered. We have also achieved considerable<br />
success in promoting mining as a career<br />
option for young people <strong>and</strong> conduct<br />
outreach initiatives to remote Aboriginal<br />
communities.<br />
