Standing at the edge, gazing at the cool
image reflected through space.
Soft reality penetrates, warming dark musty
chambers of forgotten sorrow.
Suspended in a matrix of life, engorging alvioli,
alpha waves washing over fire.
Tense! Peace a forgotten mirage.
Thrust outward through time itself . . .
. . . a thousand needles stabbing, electric
blue shocks throughout, beta waves
tearing at sanity and reason, a world
gone mad in transient pain and vivid
pinwheels of orange and red ...
green. Blue . .. Calming ripples
of serene knowledge, laughing joyfully
with the stars.
