DEAN'S MESSAGE
As we complete our second year at Lake-Sumter Junior Col-
lege, we pause to reflect on the accomplishments made by
the faculty and student body in our first two years.
The faculty has achieved the enviable reputation of high
quality teaching with a sympathetic understanding of student
problems. Faculty members are interested primarily in the
welfare of students, and have given much of their time in
challenging students to think for themselves in their quest
for knowledge.
The student body has developed a remarkable school spirit,
and the student government organization has accepted a
leadership role in working with the faculty and adminis-
tration to establish a friendly atmosphere on campus.
The staff is to be cmmended for this excellent issue of the
Naiad, and for its part in telling the story of Lake-Surnter's
progress. Congratulations for a job well done!
