THE ROYAL INTERNATIONAL HORSE SHOW<br />
13c. Enter your horse or pony in the name that appears on the Passport (always recorded the<br />
passport BSPA number.<br />
13d. When you have qualified for RIHS send the signed card to the BSPA Office as soon as<br />
possible prior to entering RIHS. Send by recorded delivery.<br />
14. Weight/Height/Type classification changes - No animal may change their classification<br />
details during a current show season. No horse/pony may change category e.g. Native or<br />
Traditional to any plaited category. Q cards will indicate selected category – see Rule B48.<br />
15. Qualifying Status will be accepted when all of the conditions relating to grading of stallions,<br />
registration of horses/ponies height certificates <strong>and</strong> memberships have been met. See Rule<br />
30A<br />
16. Leasing forms are available from show office.<br />
17. Company membership must be in place for horses/ponies to be entered in company<br />
name.<br />
18. Change of catalogued rider - See page 15, Rule 32A<br />
19. Grooms (see rule 69, page 22) turnout which must be adhered to.<br />
Grooms may not enter the ring until the last competitor has been placed in the first<br />
line up, they must approach from behind the line up in a discreet manner – DO NOT WALK<br />
IN FRONT OF THE EXHIBITS. Grooms will leave the ring in a discreet manner. Equipment<br />
should be kept to a minimum.<br />
20. Championship at RIHS - top hats tails may be worn by senior riders only. Juniors 18 years<br />
<strong>and</strong> over may wear navy jackets but must wear approved hats with chin harness.<br />
21. No exhibitor/rider/groom may wear in the ring any garment that says their name, sponsor<br />
or indication of what they have won. Nor may any horse/pony wear a rug with its name on it.<br />
22. No Horse/Pony may have its colour or markings enhanced by make-up. Glistening oil, etc,<br />
is permitted in reasonable amounts.<br />
OBJECTIONS – APPLIES TO ALL BSPA SHOWS<br />
1. Must be made by fully paid-up Senior Members of BSPA.<br />
2. Must be made by competitors/owners of the animal in the class not spectators.<br />
3. May ONLY be made in respect of height, age, type, rule infringement.<br />
4. a). Must be lodged within 24 hours with BSPA Show Office, sent special delivery.<br />
Membership numbers must be quoted <strong>and</strong> accompanied by a fee of £100, which will<br />
be refunded if objection is upheld.<br />
b). Any objection must be lodged in the first instance with the Show Secretary of the<br />
Show the complaint occurred. A deposit should be lodged with that Show Secretary<br />
<strong>and</strong> a receipt obtained.<br />
5. Any complaint must be lodged in a respectful manner.<br />
