<strong>No</strong> <strong>data</strong> <strong>are</strong> <strong>visible</strong> <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>plotter</strong> even though <strong>the</strong> measurement is runn<strong>in</strong>g. What can I do?<br />
Solution<br />
If no <strong>data</strong> <strong>are</strong> <strong>visible</strong> <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>plotter</strong> even though <strong>the</strong> measurement is runn<strong>in</strong>g, this might have <strong>the</strong><br />
follow<strong>in</strong>g reasons:<br />
1. The <strong>data</strong> <strong>are</strong> measured but <strong>the</strong> <strong>plotter</strong> does not display <strong>the</strong>m. This might happen if <strong>the</strong> start trigger<br />
for <strong>the</strong> <strong>plotter</strong> visualisation is not fired.<br />
2. For dSPACE platforms only: The trigger of <strong>the</strong> raster used for <strong>the</strong> visualized signals is not fired.<br />
The raster <strong>the</strong>n does not transmit any <strong>data</strong>.<br />
Start trigger is not fired<br />
Change <strong>the</strong> trigger assignment of <strong>the</strong> <strong>plotter</strong>.<br />
Right-click on <strong>the</strong> Triggered Visualisation button <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>plotter</strong> and select a suitable trigger<br />
configuration by select<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> correspond<strong>in</strong>g raster. In <strong>the</strong> context menu <strong>the</strong> <strong>plotter</strong> offers a list of<br />
those rasters that <strong>are</strong> currently used <strong>in</strong> this <strong>plotter</strong> for visualisation. When you move <strong>the</strong> mouse over<br />
<strong>the</strong> different raster entries without click<strong>in</strong>g, <strong>the</strong> <strong>plotter</strong> shows a preview of <strong>the</strong> result<strong>in</strong>g configuration.<br />
<strong>No</strong>te: This feature was <strong>in</strong>troduced with <strong>ControlDesk</strong> <strong>Next</strong> <strong>Generation</strong> 4.1.<br />
Alternatively, left-click on <strong>the</strong> Triggered Visualisation button <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>plotter</strong> to enable / disable triggered<br />
visualisation.<br />
<strong>No</strong>te: In <strong>ControlDesk</strong> <strong>Next</strong> <strong>Generation</strong> 4.0 a double-click is required.

Check if <strong>the</strong> trigger condition can become true for <strong>the</strong> referenced signal. To see <strong>the</strong> current value of<br />
<strong>the</strong> variable <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>plotter</strong>, disable <strong>the</strong> trigger. Alternatively, visualize <strong>the</strong> variable <strong>in</strong> a numeric display<br />
<strong>in</strong>strument. For dSPACE platforms, numeric display <strong>in</strong>struments show <strong>the</strong> current values of a variable<br />
even if measurement is not runn<strong>in</strong>g or not configured correctly.<br />
