9 And Yahweh will be King over all the earth

15 And thus will be PLAGUE of horse etc. in those camps
like this PLAGUE
It is plain that vv. 12-15 are marked off by their subject matter:
plague for the enemies of Jerusalem. It is emphasized by the inclusio,
naann rvnn nan and nnrn naaoD, the first and last words of this unit. It
is also clear that, from a form-critical point of view, the strongest
introductory formulae are at the beginning of vv. 6, 7 and 13. Other
features also stand out.
1. There is frequent mention of the word *sn, and it is associated
with the directions east-west (vv. 4, 8) and north-south (v. 4). This
seems to be connected with two main ideas: division (vv. 2, 4), and
comprehensiveness (v. 8).
2. There are concrete local and historical references in two places,
vv. 4-5 and 10.
3. In the centre of these verses there is an emphasis on oneness (day,
vv. 6-7; Yahweh and his name, v. 9b; cf. 'whole earth', v. 9
[cf. v. 10a]). There may be an intentional contrast with the division
expressed in vv. 2, 4.
