many of them over colonial territories as well<br />

as who would dominate Europe (Balance ( Balance of Power) Power<br />

And The Seven Years War<br />

particularly costly to France; at its end France lost all its North North<br />

American Territories- Territories On the Plain of Abraham<br />

(Quebec City- City Wolfe defeated Montcalm)<br />

American Revolution- Revolution France sided with the colonists- colonists<br />

France’s France s support for the revolutionaries was primarily<br />

naval and financial.<br />

Victory by the Colonists caused French spirits to soar- soar both<br />

because they defeated their common enemy the British, but also<br />

because… because<br />

American Revolution embodied many of the ideas of the<br />

Enlightenment which were being discussed in the salons of Paris
