Happy Birthday Mr Nolan!
A few of the College kids broke into Mr Nolan’s office (with the help of Mrs Nolan of course!)
and decorated his office for his big 50th birthday.

MITCHELL IN ITALY
There were over 300 drivers from 36 countries, in 4 categories, that took part in the Rok
International Final. Sunday 25th October was D day at the Lake Garda Karting Circuit in Lenato.
Mitchell Licen a Grade 8 pupil, had a terrible qualifier on Friday, due to mechanical failure. This
meant that he had to start from 26th on the grid for all three qualifying races on Saturday. He had to
work very hard to get to the front to accumulate as many points as possible. He finished 15th,6th
&13th, which gave him 21st position to start in the final. Mitchell was very disappointed, as he was
hoping for a much better result. ( His lap times throughout the weekend were always in the top 3
fastest lap times, for all sessions.)
Nobody thought Mitchell would finish in the top 10. He proved us all wrong! In only 12 laps he
stormed through the field and managed to finish an incredible 5th place! His fellow South African,
Roman de Beer, started on the front row & won the final & is now the world champion. Mitchell
received a trophy and 250Euro voucher. He also won the nations cup with his team-mate Aston
Hare for the country with the most points in the final. They will share the winning trophy that they
won.
