Grade One and Two mini cricket at St Charles
The grade one and two boys played there first mini cricket matches of the term. The Grade two
boys played exceedingly well winning by twenty four runs. The Grade one boys also played well
but had a much closer match winning by three runs. All played well and must be commended on
their excellent manners.
CRICKET
Under 10 Cricket (Coach: Mr H .Venter)
On Wednesday we played against Kings School at Nottingham Road. The weather was not very
favourable as a heavy mist decended. We, however, decided to play in the murky conditions.
We were put into bat and battled to make runs as the outfield was very heavy and the ball did not
travel far. Luke Robertson (16 runs) and Tim Lang (33 not out) were our best batsmen on the
day. We eventually made 90 runs for seven wickets.
Kings batted and were bowled out for 37 runs.
Our top bowlers were:
Joshua Norman - 3 wickets
Somganda Chonco - 3 wickets
Juhuan Muller - 2 wickets.
I was very pleased with our boys all round performance.
