Mid C19, probably Spring Mill, on the site of or close by the early C18 Holcombe Mill. Tall tapering chimney shaft, octagonal, with moulded capping. Square plinth. 1. 5227 AVENING ROAD ST 8599 6/493 II GV Workshops to west of chimney shaft at Holcombe Mill 2. Mid C19, 11 bay building of 2 storeys and basement in coursed rubble with slate roof. Segment headed windows. Two windows in gable end. Linked to chimney 4 by a now delapidated building which is not of special interest. 1. 5227 AVENING ROAD ST 8599 6/75 II GV Mill House at north-west end of workshops at Holcombe Mill S 2. Late C18 or early C19. Two storeys and basement. Coursed rubble with hipped stone tile roof. South front has 4 windows, wide casements, segment headed on ground and first floors. First floor left hand window bricked up. 1

5227 AVENING ROAD ST 89 NE 4/49 II Holcombe House and Glendale 2. Late C18. Stucco front with first and second floor cill bands. Ripped Cotswold stone roof. Three storeys, 5 windows, glazing bar sashes. Porch with detached columns and pediment. Modern panelled doors. Crowning stone modillion cornice and blocking course. Glendale forms a long 2 storey extension to rear with Cotswold stone roof. Interior: ground floor front rooms have small marble fireplaces (the one to north-west room has clustered colonnettes and Prince of Wales Feathers' caps, the one to south-west is probably a replica). Hall has segnental barrel vault with plaster decoration, the ante-hall has a higher moulded ceiling. The stairs are about 1780 with patterned cast iron honeysuckle and harp decoration to balusters. 1. 5227 BATH ROAD (east side) Bazaar ST 8599 6/76 Qns . JckU c%L t) II1 2. Late C17 or early C18 appearance with early-mid C19 treatment. Three,storeys, painted coursed rubble. Second floor cill band. Steep pitchea stone roof, 3 ashlar chimneys with moulded capping. Three windows in plain surrounds, w glazing bar sashes. Two storey angled bay to left with door on ground floor (looks like a turnpike booth). Door in centre. Modern bow on ground floor to right. 5227 BATH ROAD (east side) ST 89 NW 3/77a II S -< 89 Laurel Cottage 2. larly-mid 019. Two storeys, ashlar with slate roof, coped verges, ashlar chimneys with moulded capping. Three windows, small pane glazing bar sashes. Central door with cast iron tripartite porch (with glazed roof). Half-glazed door.
