Built of fragoents thought to come from Horsely ehurch(or alternatively<br />

Amberley church). Probably therefore mediaeval. Hexagonal base <strong>in</strong>corporat<strong>in</strong>g<br />

a quatre-foil panel. Among the fragments are a cusped tracery head with<br />

ball f<strong>in</strong>ial beh<strong>in</strong>d. Various carved stones. Partly formed <strong>in</strong>to a seat.<br />

Barn about 370 yds<br />

south of R<strong>in</strong>gfield Farm<br />

Known as Chapel Barn. Early to mid C19. White cotswold stone rubble<br />

with asbestos roof. One catslide midstrey on each side of slight projection<br />

(rear one has s<strong>in</strong>gle door only). Bl<strong>in</strong>d open<strong>in</strong>g to north gable end, a triplet<br />

of arched w<strong>in</strong>dows and one on each side to north of midstreys, these open<strong>in</strong>gs<br />

are plastered and pa<strong>in</strong>ted with ecclesiastical tracery.<br />

Three bay <strong>in</strong>terior, roof formed of 2 rows of half purl<strong>in</strong>s, one ma<strong>in</strong> rafter<br />

on each truss has curved base to tie. Curved braces to wall beam across<br />

midstrey.<br />

Early C19. Two and a half storeys. Coursed rubble with cotswold stone<br />

roof. Two segment-headed dormers with glaz<strong>in</strong>g bar sash w<strong>in</strong>dows. Three<br />

glaz<strong>in</strong>g bar sash w<strong>in</strong>dows on first floor. Modern conservatory obscures<br />

ground floor. Two mid-C19 gables to left hand return.<br />
