SECOND AMENDMENT OF LIST OF BUILDINGS OF SPECIAL ARCHITECTURAL OR HISTORIC IN?ERES I
DISTSICT OF STROUD (GIOUCsaIESUIS._E)
WHEREAS I
1. by section 54(1) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1971 and the Secretary of
State for the Environment Order 1970 (hereinafter collectively called "the principal g
Act") the Secretary of State for the Environment and his predecessors under the
Town and Country Planning Acts 1944 to 1971 (hereinafter called "Secretary of State"),
with a view to the guidance of local planning authorities in the performance bf '
their functions under the principal Act in relation to buildings of special
a-rchitectural or historic interest, is or were required to compile lists of such I
buildings, and may amend any list so compiled;
2. on 17 July 1980 , the Secretary of State compiled a list of buildings
of speciai architectural or historic interest situate in the Disetrict of Strocud
(that part ccmprit8ins the forer Urban, District of Nailsworth).
3. the Secretary of State considers. that the said list ehould be amGnded by I
ho, adit1ton of thc buildLag mentioned in the Schodulo hereto;
4. the Secrotary of State has consulted those persons who appoar to hin appropriate
as hiatb rg special knowledgo of, and interest in,, ouch buIldins;
