What is iSeed ® Generation 3.0?
iSeed ® generation 3.0 is a fertiliser coated grass seed with a new special finisher that
enhances the vigour of the emerging seedling at a critical stage of development.
iSeed ® generation 3.0 is made up of 50% grass seed, 10% N, 2% P (4.6% P205) and
38% other coating components.
Mixtures available with iSeed ® are indicated throughout the brochure

The recommended seed rate for iSeed ® is double that of normal, untreated
seed to allow for the additional weight of the fertiliser and coatings.
50% Improvement in Establishment Vigour with iSeed ®
Results from the DLF-Trifolium trial site in Rennes in Brittany,
France, confirm that iSeed ® can have outstanding effects on
the successful establishment of a new sward.
Trials with italian ryegrass sown autumn 2008 showed a 50%
improvement in plant vigour from iSeed ® after only 3 weeks.

Improved Establishment Vigour
With iSeed ® up to 50% improvement in plant vigour can be
observed during establishment. A clear benefit in the successful
creation of a dense, high quality and long lasting sward.
Higher Yield
With iSeed ® 5 – 15% more dry matter can be expected in the first
cuts following establishment which equates to around 1 tonne
extra dry matter per ha.

In the same trial from Rennes in France, the benefits
continued to be seen the following year with significantly
improved yields from iSeed ® resulting in an extra 1 tonne
extra dry matter per ha.

Improved Fertiliser Efficiency
With iSeed ® the uptake of nutrients is up to 4 times more efficient than
standard seedbed fertiliser which maximises the economic benefit
whilst minimising the impact on the environment.
Ease of Application
With iSeed ® the sowing can be carried out using any standard grass
seed drill, therefore no additional investment in specialist equipment is
required.
