3 Automatic, self-cleaning electric lters. Key Advantages: An unparalleled removal rate of TSS, organic matter and sediment. 99% Removal of Zooplankton. 50% Removal of Phytoplankton. A continuous, uninterrupted operating flow during cleaning cycles. A highly-effective cleaning mechanism, reaching 100% of the sintered screen, with minimal water discharge. By incorporating Filtersafe’s OFS-Series Automatic Electric Filters into your system, you equip the most efficient sea water filtering technology on the market. Benets of Filtersafe® technology. Filtersafe® supplies to a multitude of water treatment companies worldwide, many of which are based in Scandinavia, Europe, Singapore and USA. We’re one of the very few companies to have responded to todays challenges and are constantly developing and updating our high performance self-cleaning automatic filters. All Filtersafe® products incorporate leading edge, state-of-the-art components, with advanced technology and proven performance levels providing the base to combat marine bio-invasions in the movement of water. At the heart of each water treatment system, lies the market-leading OFS-Series Automatic Electric Filter. Installed as the primary filtration module, these filters play a pivotal role in the removal of sediment, micro-organisms and other marine elements. Filtersafe® designs, manufactures and supplies a wide range of filtration products for the Offshore industry to perform in the most demanding of conditions. We are able to manufacture filtration systems in Skid format, and can also supply systems with stand-by functionality. Filtersafe’s fine screen is composed of four sintered, stainless steel screen layers that create a strong, durable, reinforced filtering element, which requires no support. Two types of stainless steel are available: • 316L, for standard applications. • 904L Duplex SST, for high-corrosion resistance and prolonged filter use. Filtersafe’s superior Sintered Screen Weave-Wire technology gives OFS-series filters a distinct advantage over the competition. Our filtration performance is second-to-none and in terms removal of organic matter and TSS. For instance our 40 micron screen removes 98% of Zooplankton and up to 50% of Phytoplankton from water intake. This performance level is converted into exceptional sediment removal performance. Filtersafe® utilises its Proximity Nozzles® patented technology to efficiently and effectively remove organic matter from the filter screen without having to halt system operation. This completely autonomous system uses calibrated suction nozzles which cover less than 1% of the total screen area to remove screened matter. This results in extremely high suction forces that ensure complete cleanliness in preparation for the next cycle and establishing it as up to 50% more effective than the traditional ‘candle’ system. The Proximity Nozzles® enable a regulated and consistent suction force to clean the screen. This resourceful hydraulic system ensures maximum suction force for removing dirt from the screen whilst minimizing residual water and pressure loss from the cleaning process, consequently Filtersafe® uses a significantly lower amount of ‘wasted water’ during the filtration’s flushing process. 4
