In Popish times, the Virgin Mary was called by way<br />

of eminence, the " Queen of Heaven." The meaning<br />

of the figurative expression above quoted, appears to<br />

be, that the lady, after the death of her lover, wishes<br />

to devote herself to religious duties, or, in other words<br />

to become a nun.
