PathWalkers.Net Interactive :: Helping you along your path Bridging the Religious Gaps If you need help expressing your beliefs to friends and family members who don't accept or understand your chosen path, here are a few examples to use. It's very important to relay information in a kind and loving way to get folks to listen and take you seriously. The idea is to erase some of the fear and prejudice so people can see that even when they choose to walk down "different paths", all are headed in the same general direction towards one ultimate destination. The examples below don't go into great detail, but should offer enough `food for thought' to disarm anyone you feel is `attacking' your beliefs. (56 Reads) Read more... (5601 bytes more) comments? PathWalkers.Net Interactive :: Helping you along your path Kirlian Photography Named after Semyon Kirlian, an inventor and electrician from Krasnodar, Russia, this is a controversial technique for photographing objects in the presence of a high-frequency, high-voltage, low-amperage electrical field, the photographs of which show glowing, multicolored emanations said to be auras or biofields. There is no evidence that Kirlian photography is a paranormal phenomenon. Some researchers say it reveals a physical form of psychic energy. Others believe that it reveals the etheric body, one of the layers of the aura believed to permeate all living things, and that an understanding of this energy will lead to greater insights into medicine, psychology, psychic healing, PSI, and dowsing. General information: Along the wiccan path Posted by: Nyxks on Thursday, December 30, 2004 - 09:46 PM Along the wiccan path "All that is necessary for evil to triumph in the world, is that good people do nothing." --Edmund Burke The Stages of Wicca The Freeing: This is the most important stage, when a spiritual person breaks free from the chains of what others tell them to believe, or what they think they "should" believe. A seeker is born from a follower. This is not an immediate step, although it may seem so at first. The Seeker: A seeker is represented by the Tarot's Fool. S/he has heard a certain "inward calling", but has no idea of where to go or where to look, but knows that the truth is out there and wants desperately to find it. There is enormous excitement in this stage, full of new experiences and interesting books. The Finding: This is a time of great confusion and loneliness. One knows the truth exists and thinks one may have found it, only to see it slip through one's hands. So the seeker moves on, developing to be a wiser person each time s/he catches a glimpse of "The Grail". In this step, the seeker begins to realize a particular path is the one that they should follow, and the need to know everything about it all at once, emerges. (118 Reads) Read more...
