PathWalkers.Net Interactive :: Helping you along your path Author: Karen L. Scheel The way we are taking charge of our lives and our health is rapidly changing. Many are hearing the call to heal and are searching for knowledge and wisdom in a way that traditional symbols have not provided. The boundaries between the physical and spiritual realms are shifting and we are able to access deeper levels of spiritual awareness, knowing and healing. We are entering a new era - a new synthesis, a bridge connecting left brain (thinking) with right brain (feeling), male with female in balance. We are beginning to use our left brain to put things in the right perspective and intellectually understand the interconnectedness of our body, mind, spirit and emotions. We are beginning to discover what many ancient cultures have recognized for quite some time, Our physical body is a part of nature and we are constantly under its influence. Everything within our existence is based upon opposites: Light versus dark, hot versus cold, happiness versus sadness, etc. The universe is alive and filled with spiritual power. Our spirit is an invisible unit of this power and is able to exist without a physical body, which is only a means of expression for life. The mind is the link between the physical and spiritual realms. Planet Earth is a stage for spiritual beings to manifest in physical form, Spiritual beings become human beings and are nothing more than actors continuing the evolution process. Life is an integral, interdependent process that we are all a part of. There are no sides on a round planet. Ignorance is remaining blind and living in separation consciousness, which leads to most all disease. Healing is not static; It is always changing, growing and evolving. It is a process of learning how to reach spirituality through seeking and living in the highest truth, which does not come from our ego personality. As human beings we strive to walk the path of healing ourselves so that we may wake up to the illusion of opposites as separate and embrace All as one. This journey requires a commitment to understanding and being in right relationship with spiritual power, It involves the integration and transmutation of body, mind and emotions.Courage and honesty are important assets in one's development; It is only through a conscious internal dialogue with ourselves that we are able to create an opening to connect with spiritual power. Self-awareness and a disciplined life style are keys that open doors to the higher realms of healing power, wisdom and love. (18 Reads) comments? PathWalkers.Net Interactive :: Helping you along your path A special kind of bracelet was used to protect children in ancient Egypt. It utilized the number seven, which the Egyptians considered to be a magic number. To make your own bracelet, string seven agate and seven gold-colored beads on a thin cord in an alternating pattern. While doing this, concentrate on your purpose and visualize the bracelet protecting your child. Knot each end to keep the beads in place. You may put knots between the beads if you wish. Leave enough cord on each end for tying the bracelet around the child's wrist. If it's too large, wrap it around the wrist more than once before tying. (22 Reads) comments? Looking through published literature and anecdotal accounts, there seem to be only two categories of ailments where Reiki may not be very effective or desirable, these being congenital disorders of a structural or functional nature, or following fractures before the bones are set properly. Since Reiki speeds up healing, it is best to wait till the bones are set and a supportive cast applied, before applying Reiki to the patient. This would provide an opportunity for optimal union of the broken fragments. While many theories and speculations exist, about the mechanism which mediates a Reiki healing, it is often difficult to prove any of this in a left-brained way. Reiki seems to act in such an intelligent and simple manner, that many practitioners consider it best to leave it at that! There are many accounts which indicate that Reiki involves tapping into the source of a universal healing and loving cosmic energy. The Reiki practitioner, in essence, acts as a conduit or channel through whom, Reiki flows into the person who has asked for and accepted to receive a Reiki treatment. The act of asking is often referred to as one of the precepts of Reiki and highlights the respect for one's freedom of choice in deciding to be well! Although, the current form of Reiki existing from late nineteenth century is attributed to a Japanese theologist, Dr. Mikao Usui, it seems clear that it had been used by many http://www.pathwalkers.net/interactive/modules....ame=News&file=index&catid=1&topic=&allstories=1 (109 of 236) [12/25/2005 12:17:43 AM]
