The Mustad Blue Marlin Hook was in the 50’s known as the Caddilac Hook.
The price of one mille (1000pcs is the sales unit for fish hooks) of Mustad 7761,
was the same as the price for a new Caddilac. The production of this
hand-crafted hook was stopped in the 1960’s, due to too high production costs,
but has now been resumed. Each and every Mustad Super Marlin hook is
carefully inspected for the most stringent quality in every detail.
This most expensive hook in the world has a razor-sharp knife-edge point for the
ultimate in hook quality. Tapered in both ends. Small barb for the ultimate
in hook penetration, without sacrificing holding ability. Strength rating tested
to hold without failure. Z-Steel for ultimate corrosion resistance.
