Falling Objects<br />
The Health and Safety Executive (H.S.E) Work <strong>at</strong> <strong>Height</strong> Regul<strong>at</strong>ions (2005)<br />
st<strong>at</strong>e th<strong>at</strong>:<br />
1. Every employer shall, where necessary to prevent injury to any person,<br />
take suitable and sufficient steps to prevent, so far as is reasonably<br />
practicable, the fall of any m<strong>at</strong>erial or object.<br />
2. Every employer shall take suitable and sufficient steps to prevent any<br />
person being struck by any falling m<strong>at</strong>erial or object which is liable to<br />
cause personal injury.<br />
3. Every employer shall ensure th<strong>at</strong> no m<strong>at</strong>erial or object is thrown or<br />
tipped from height in circumstances where it is liable to cause injury to<br />
any person.<br />
4. Every employer shall ensure th<strong>at</strong> m<strong>at</strong>erials and objects are stored<br />
in such a way as to prevent risk to any person arising from the collapse,<br />
overturning or unintended movement of such m<strong>at</strong>erials or objects.<br />
The Tool@rrest range fe<strong>at</strong>ures hand tools, lanyards and tool rigs, organisers<br />
and lifting buckets. Hand tools fe<strong>at</strong>ure an integral tether which when<br />
connected to a lanyard enable the tools to be secured to a fixed point or<br />
person. The tethers are designed to provide the user freedom and mobility<br />
and not to hinder the functionality of the tool when in use. Lanyards are<br />
designed and manufactured to be <strong>at</strong>tached to the oper<strong>at</strong>or’s wrist, belt, bag<br />
or any other suitable loc<strong>at</strong>ion.<br />
Product Testing<br />
Each product is reliability tested on UKAS accredited machinery a total of<br />
5,250 times using industry recognised Weibull Analysis systems, providing<br />
you with total confidence in the per<strong>for</strong>mance of the tools and tethers.<br />
Retrofit Service<br />
We are also able to offer a bespoke retrofit service to <strong>at</strong>tach tethers to existing<br />
hand and power tools. Once fitted the tethers are tested <strong>for</strong> compliance and<br />
are warranted and certified by Tool@rrest.<br />
