Tethered tools for working at height.
Simple, flexible solutions for tethering and securing tools for contractors

Falling Objects
The Health and Safety Executive (H.S.E) Work at Height Regulations (2005)
state that:
1. Every employer shall, where necessary to prevent injury to any person,
take suitable and sufficient steps to prevent, so far as is reasonably
practicable, the fall of any material or object.
2. Every employer shall take suitable and sufficient steps to prevent any
person being struck by any falling material or object which is liable to
cause personal injury.
3. Every employer shall ensure that no material or object is thrown or
tipped from height in circumstances where it is liable to cause injury to
any person.
4. Every employer shall ensure that materials and objects are stored
in such a way as to prevent risk to any person arising from the collapse,
overturning or unintended movement of such materials or objects.
The Tool@rrest range features hand tools, lanyards and tool rigs, organisers
and lifting buckets. Hand tools feature an integral tether which when
connected to a lanyard enable the tools to be secured to a fixed point or
person. The tethers are designed to provide the user freedom and mobility
and not to hinder the functionality of the tool when in use. Lanyards are
designed and manufactured to be attached to the operator’s wrist, belt, bag
or any other suitable location.
Product Testing
Each product is reliability tested on UKAS accredited machinery a total of
5,250 times using industry recognised Weibull Analysis systems, providing
you with total confidence in the performance of the tools and tethers.
Retrofit Service
We are also able to offer a bespoke retrofit service to attach tethers to existing
hand and power tools. Once fitted the tethers are tested for compliance and
are warranted and certified by Tool@rrest.
