Solar shading systems don’t just help
you prevent overheating and glare,
they also allow you to save energy. In
summer, when the sun is shining and
it’s hot outside, blinds and rolling
shutters are worth their weight in
gold. They can reduce irradiation
levels, producing a pleasant room

amount of electrical energy used to

In office buildings, computer-based
work places very demanding requirements
on combining daylight, lighting
and glare protection. Choosing
the right automatic solar shading
gives you a high level of user convenience,
good heat protection and ensures
computer workstations are free
from glare. Freezing cold or sweltering
heat – both are extremely unpleasant,
especially in the workplace.
Automatic solar shading is required
in front of windows to meet the thermal
comfort levels required today –
only then do rooms receive sufficient
protection from heat rays. Using solar
shading also means that you don’t
need an energy-wasting air conditioning
system in the summer.

Metalunic ®
It’s no surprise that Metalunic ® , the
unique all-metal external venetian
blind system, can often be seen in use.
The mechanically relevant components
are housed in the guide profile
and are therefore protected from the
wind and weather. The external venetian
blinds can be adjusted to any
angle, either automatically or manually,
at any height. The safety sensing
edge prevents the external venetian
blind being damaged when encountering
obstacles. The safety locking
device, meanwhile, is burglar-deterrent.

required thanks to the safety locking
device, which works in any position.

The Grinotex Sinus ® version has a

Lamisol ®
Thanks to two slat widths, Lamisol ®
can be used in many ways and is
especially suited to narrow installation
situations. Lamisol ® Reflect offers
various slat positions in one. The
lower blind zone protects against unwanted
glare on computer screens.
The middle zone creates pleasant
daylight. And the upper zone diverts
light into the interior of the room and
ensures a comfortable feeling in the
room. This allows you to make optimum
use of daylight in every situation.

Aluflex ®
The low package and screen height
mean that Griesser’s Aluflex ® system
takes up extremely little space. Large
window openings should allow the
facades to dominate, and the solar
shading should not be the main feature.
The filigree design harmonizes
well with modern architecture, which
requires solar shading systems to be
integrated discreetly. In addition to
header installation, we also offer two
different solutions where the system
is to be installed on the facade: a
square version and a circular version.

Solomatic ® /Solotec ®
Solomatic ® and Solotec ® are the two
classic aluminum external venetian
blind systems with beaded slats from
Griesser. Solomatic ® is available in
two versions. Solomatic ® 80 (120 mm
header) is for new buildings and Solomatic
® 70 (100 mm header) is suited
to narrow installation situations. The
width of the slats in the Solotec ® system
is 80 mm. Both aluminum external
venetian blind systems with
beaded slats are available with guide
cables or guide rails.

Solomatic R ®
Solomatic R ® is an external rolling
venetian blind system. It is installed
like a rolling shutter but features
many of the functional characteristics
of an external venetian blind,
even light control and transparency.
Solomatic R ® is designed to last,
thanks to the chrome- nickel steel
vertical connections, slats guided by
diecast zinc bolts on both sides, and
sealing lips rolled into the slat profile.

Rolpac ®
The Rolpac ® stackable shutter
doesn’t take up much space in the
header. This opens up a wealth of
new possibilities for reconstructions
or renovations in narrow installation
situations, as well as in modern
architecture. Rolpac ® provides other
benefits too, for example generous
slat spacing, which guarantees better
room ventilation and light levels, or
the integrated safety locking device.
The safety sensing edge, which is
available as an option, automatically
stops the rolling shutter lowering as
soon as the motor detects an obstacle,
protecting it from damage.

Alucolor ®
The moving slat connection of Alucolor
® 41 and the fixed slats of Alucolor
® 25 make these rolling shutters
ideal for a little privacy. They also
ensure that rooms can be flooded
with light and supplied with fresh
air. Daylight is refracted by the black
groove. The following colors improve
shading: VSR 010, VSR 130, VSR 240,
VSR 901, VSR 904 and RAL 9010. The
sliding arm mechanism, which is
available as an option, ensures that
the room is ventilated.

The aluminum slats in the Minicolor ®
series are filled with environmentally-friendly
material, making them
sound-deadening; they also provide
maximum protection against intrusion.
Insect screens and a function
which prevents the Minicolor ® motor
opening when it is frozen are
available as an option. Minicolor ®
can also be used to make an architectural
statement, as it can be integrated
in the header. If space is limited,
Minicolor ® can be installed with
a suspended cassette. A sliding arm
mechanism is also available for optimum
room ventilation.

Built-in system
With this type of system, the solar shading is
installed above the window opening in a wooden
header, header box or a corresponding facade
component provided, neatly storing it away
almost out of sight. Various designs, sizes and
colors are available to suit your facade.
Front mounted system (with screen)
The solar shading is positioned above the glazing
in front of a frame cavity or wall recess. The
system is covered with a screen. You can choose
the design, color and size to match your facade.

curtain is protected by the box. Thanks to
