307* Transient situational disturbances 1<br />
1 The terms included under DSM-1I Category 307*, "Transient situational disturbances,"<br />
differ from those in Category 307 of the ICD. DSM-II Category 307*,<br />
"Transient situational disturbances," contains adjustment reactions of infancy<br />
(307.0*), childhood (307.1*), adolescence (307.2*), adult life (307.3*), and<br />
late life (307.4*). ICD Category 307, "Transient situational disturbances,"<br />
includes only the adjustment reactions of adolescence, adult life and late life.<br />
ICD 308, "Behavioral disorders of children," contains the reactions of infancy<br />
and childhood. These differences must be taken into account in preparing<br />
statistical tabulations to conform to ICD categories.
